Cardinal Newman School Luton is seeking a part-time Textiles Technician to support the delivery of the Textiles curriculum. The role involves preparing fabric components, organising materials, and assisting with exams and displays.

You will help students in class, photograph and display student work, and ensure equipment is ready for lessons while maintaining a tidy room. Experience in dressmaking is a plus, and you will work as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualification in dressmaking is advantageous.
• Ability to assist in textiles curriculum and exams.
• Reliable, flexible and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of fabric components prior to lessons.
• Ordering, organising and recording of materials and equipment.
• Assisting with exam preparation and displays.
• Assisting students in class when required.
• To be responsible for photographing and displaying student work.
• Ensure that equipment is working and available for lessons and the room is tidy.
• Preparing and clearing away of materials as required.
