For November 2026, Cheltenham College is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Textiles Technician to join our friendly and supportive Art & Design Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in textiles and fashion, particularly a recent graduate looking to develop their practical skills and gain valuable experience in a vibrant educational environment.
Working alongside our talented teaching staff, you will play an important, hands‑on role in supporting pupils’ creative journeys. From preparing materials and equipment to assisting with practical projects, including sewing, fabric printing, dyeing and digital embroidery, you will help bring ideas to life and contribute to the smooth running of a busy and inspiring department. Full training will be provided, so curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn are just as important as existing technical skills.
With excellent specialist facilities (see full job description), an ambitious creative programme and exciting plans for closer collaboration between Textiles and Art & Design, this is a wonderful time to join Cheltenham College. If you are practical, resourceful, well‑organised and enjoy working with young people, we would welcome an application from you.
Full details of the role can be found in the job description document.
