Job summary

Cheltenham College is seeking a Textiles Technician to join our friendly Art & Design Department. This part-time role (16 hours per week, term-time) offers training and a chance to work on sewing, fabric printing, dyeing and digital embroidery with pupils.

Salary is pro-rated to hours worked, with a full-time equivalent of £25,603.50–£28,762.50 per annum. If you are practical, well-organised and eager to learn, we’d welcome your application.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in textiles and fashion and willingness to learn.
• Ability to support practical textile projects in a school setting.
• Curiosity, initiative and a proactive approach to learning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and equipment for textiles lessons.
• Assist with sewing, fabric printing, dyeing and digital embroidery projects.
• Support pupils’ creative journeys and help the department run smoothly.
