Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream primary school in Monmouth, Wales, seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant for a long-term position starting ASAP. You will support pupils in the classroom and offer one-to-one assistance to help them engage, build confidence and progress through the school day.

The role requires patient, adaptable and collaborative individuals with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting.
• One-to-one support experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to provide effective classroom support.

Responsibilities

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a part-time, long-term basis starting ASAP. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide a mixture of general classroom and one-to-one support, helping pupils engage with their learning, develop their confidence and make progress throughout the school day.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting


• One-to-one support experience is desirable but not essential


• The ability to provide effective classroom support


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• A patient and supportive approach


• An adaptable and positive attitude
