Job summary

Leicestershire County Council are seeking a Female Only Support Worker to join Melton Short Breaks & Supported Living Services in Melton Mowbray. The role is 24 hours per week, part-time, on-site, with permanent status and a salary of £13.91–£14.13 per hour.

Qualifications

• Commitment to providing high quality care and supporting independence.
• Ability to use equipment for moving and handling and to support people with complex needs.
• Effective communication including alternatives (Makaton, signs).
• Strong organisation, ability to manage workloads and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and maximise independence.
• Support service users in a 24/7 rota including weekends and bank holidays.
• Maintain clear, concise records.
