Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is hiring a part-time Support Worker at Melton Short Breaks & Supported Living Services in Melton Mowbray. You will provide day-to-day care, assist with personal care, and promote independence within a 24-hour rota that includes weekends and bank holidays.

No prior care experience is required as training is provided; you will join a supportive team and access the Local Government Pension Scheme along with generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Commitment to providing high quality care
• Ability to assist with moving and handling
• Effective communication including alternative methods (Makaton, symbols)
• Good organisational skills and workload management
• Willingness to work a 24/7 rota including weekends/bank holidays
