Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Support Worker to join Melton Short Breaks & Supported Living Services. The role focuses on delivering daily care, promoting independence, and supporting adults with learning disabilities within a 24/7 service.

The position is permanent, 25 hours per week, with rota including weekends and bank holidays. Training, DBS checks, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme are provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate commitment to high-quality care and independence.
• Ability to use assistive equipment for moving and handling.
• Good communication, including with users with alternative communication methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care and support.
• Promote choice, control, and independence.
• Attend training and work within service rota including weekends/bank holidays.
