Job summary

Dimensions (UK) Ltd. Basildon is seeking female Support Workers to assist a woman in her early 60s in her own bungalow.

This part-time role offers 22.5 hours per week and is ideal for someone passionate about supporting people with autism, learning disabilities, or behaviours of distress. You will provide caring, consistent support including daily living tasks, meal planning, mobility, and community activities, following clear protocols and with full training from an experienced team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with autism, learning disabilities, or behaviours of distress.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and promote independence.

Responsibilities

• Providing consistent, skilled and reassuring support when experiencing behaviours of distress.
• Encouraging and supporting her to develop and maintain everyday living skills.
• Supporting with meal planning, cooking, medication administration and healthcare appointments.
• Maintaining structured, positive routines that promote wellbeing and help manage changes or transitions.
• Supporting with mobility when accessing the community, including the use of mobility equipment when required.
• Building and maintaining meaningful relationships with family members, friends and the local community.
• Supporting her to access social, leisure and community-based activities that are important to her.
