Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network (AILN) is seeking a compassionate PT Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for a young woman in Girvan. The role is on-site and permanent, with part-time hours and a starting hourly rate.

You will help rebuild confidence, promote independence in daily tasks, and support community participation, while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries. A driver with access to a vehicle is essential; PVG disclosure and references are required.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme check through Disclosure Scotland.
• Two satisfactory references required, including one from most recent employer.
• Six-month probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one support for a young woman living in Girvan.
• Encouraging confidence with personal care and independence in daily tasks.
• Assisting with dressing, kitchen and bathroom tasks, and light household duties.
• Preparing light meals suitable for vegan diet, with guidance from her dietitian.
• Providing companionship and encouraging community access.
• Supporting safety at home and when out and about.
• Using patience and reassurance to help overcome social anxiety and build confidence.
