Job summary

Cornerstone in Motherwell and Wishaw is seeking a part-time Support Practitioner (16 hours per week) to help people with disabilities lead active, fulfilling lives. No two days are the same, with activities from swimming to cinema trips, and assisting with daily tasks.

Full training provided; SVQ funded; PVG/SSSC registration support. Must have a full UK manual driving licence. Shifts between 08:30 and 21:00, typically 4–8 hours.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• SVQ qualification and PVG/SSSC fees funded.
• Must have full UK manual driving licence.
• Friendly, reliable and able to work with people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support people to get out, have fun and live life to the fullest.
• Assist with activities: swimming, gym, bowling, cinema, trips.
• Help with daily tasks: shopping, cooking, appointments, finances, medication, household tasks, personal care.
• Be confident around water and comply with safety requirements.
