Job summary

Cornerstone (Aberdeen) is seeking a dedicated Support Practitioner (Driver only) for a permanent part‑time role based in ML2 7BL. You will support people with disabilities to get out, stay active, and enjoy everyday activities from gym visits to meals out and shopping.

You’ll assist with daily tasks such as cooking, appointments, finances, medications, and personal care. A UK manual driving licence is essential; PVG and SVQ requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK manual driving licence.
• PVG scheme membership and SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare may be required for SSSC registration.

Responsibilities

• Help people to get out, have fun and live life to the fullest (e.g., gym visits, attending college, meals out).
• Assist with everyday tasks: shopping, cooking, appointments, finances, medication, household tasks and personal care.
• Be confident around water as swimming is a regular activity.

What will you be doing?

No two days are the same! You’ll support people to get out, have fun and live life to the fullest — whether that’s:

Going to the gym

Supporting college attendance

Going out for meals or to the pub

You’ll also provide support with everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking, appointments, finances, medication, household tasks and personal care.

You’ll need to be confident in and around water, as swimming is a regular activity for one of the people we support. Due to the needs of the service, we will also need you to have full UK manual drivers licence.
