Job summary

Yorkshire Trading Company Ltd in York is seeking a Retail Store Supervisor to join our busy team. 32 hours over 4 days per week, including weekends on a rota, with permanent part-time employment.

You’ll support the Store Manager, coach cashiers and stock replenishment staff, and help deliver excellent customer service on the shop floor. You'll supervise displays, pricing, cashing up and ensure product knowledge and promotions are up to date.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering high standard customer service in a retail environment.
• Ability to supervise and train frontline staff including cashiers and stock replenishment teams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in day-to-day running of the store.
• Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder).
• Support in training and supervising retail colleagues including cashiers and replenishment team.
• Manage store displays, stock rotation and stock put away.
• Keep up-to-date with products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues.
• Direct customers to racks and counters, delivering great customer service.
• Carry out cashing up duties and pricing checks.
• Contribute to team goals and related tasks as needed.
