Kernel & Co. Gourmet Popcorn Ltd is seeking a Part-Time Social Media Content Creator to shoot and edit product-focused content at our Vale Road facility in Harringay. You will craft captions that reflect our bold, premium, cheeky brand voice and adapt content for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

• Experience filming and editing social media content for businesses.
• Portfolio showing personally filmed/edited content, ideally featuring food/packaging.
• Strong photography and video skills: lighting, framing, composition.
• Ability to make products look exciting without on-camera presenters.
• Confident short-form video editing and platform adaptation.
• Excellent written English and brand-tone awareness.
• Proactive, organised, able to work independently.
• Own filming equipment and editing tools; good lighting and tripod.
• Available to attend Vale Road premises for filming.

Responsibilities

• Create three original posts and five stories per week across reels, photography, carousels and graphics.
• Adapt posts for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, including paid-ad versions.
• Film and photograph products and production on-site at Vale Road kitchen/workspace.
• Edit footage into polished content with pacing, music, transitions and on-screen text.
• Write captions reflecting bold, premium brand personality.
• Plan and schedule content around products, gifting occasions, seasonal promotions and launches.
• Bring fresh ideas while maintaining brand style.
• Keep footage and finished files organized for future use.
• Review basic performance information to improve future content.

Part-Time Social Media Content Creator — Gourmet Popcorn & Gifting Location: Vale Road, Haringey, London N4 Pay: £15–£18 per hour, depending on experience Hours: Part-time; weekly hours and schedule to be agreed

Job Overview

Kernel & Co is a gourmet popcorn and gifting company with bold packaging, indulgent flavours and a playful brand personality. We’re looking for an experienced content creator to bring our products to life through photography, filming and creative editing. Our social media will be primarily product-focused, with little or no emphasis on people appearing on camera. Content will showcase our popcorn, ingredients, production, packaging and gift boxes through tempting close-ups, satisfying behind-the-scenes footage, packaging reveals and other creative ideas. We’ll provide help and guidance on our brand, products and content ideas, but you must be comfortable working with initiative, suggesting fresh approaches and taking ideas through to finished content.

Responsibilities

• Create three original posts and five stories per week, using a varied mix of reels, photography, carousels and graphics.
• Adapt those posts for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, including versions suitable for paid adverts when required.
• These are three original posts adapted across platforms, rather than three separate posts for each platform.
• Film and photograph products and production on-site at our Vale Road kitchen and workspace.
• Edit footage into polished, engaging content with strong pacing, music, creative transitions and on-screen text where appropriate.
• Write captions that reflect our brand’s bold, premium and slightly cheeky personality.
• Plan and schedule content around products, gifting occasions, seasonal promotions and launches.
• Bring fresh ideas while maintaining a consistent brand style.
• Keep footage and finished files organised for future use.
• Review basic performance information to help improve future content.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Relevant experience filming and editing social media content for businesses is essential.
• A portfolio showing content you have personally filmed and edited, ideally featuring food, physical products, packaging or gifting.
• Strong photography and video skills, including an understanding of lighting, framing and composition.
• The ability to make products look exciting without relying on people presenting to camera.
• Confident short-form video editing skills and an understanding of how to adapt content for different platforms.
• Good written English, attention to detail and an understanding of brand tone.
• A proactive, organised approach and the ability to work independently.
• Your own suitable filming equipment and editing tools, including a high-quality phone or camera and appropriate lighting and tripod.
• Availability to attend our Vale Road premises for filming.

Working Arrangements

Filming must take place on-site. Editing can be done from home or at our workspace, by agreement. We’re happy to arrange batch filming sessions to capture material for several posts at once.
