Job summary

University of the Arts London is seeking a creative social media content producer to cover our cafés, restaurants, and food venues across London. You will film, edit, and caption engaging content for Instagram and TikTok, while staying true to each venue’s voice and aesthetic.

You will visit venues regularly, develop content ideas, track performance, and collaborate with teams and local creators to drive reach and visits. A passion for food, hospitality, and storytelling is essential.

Responsibilities

• Visit venues to film and photograph food, interiors and people.
• Create engaging Instagram and TikTok content; adapt style to each venue.
• Develop content ideas and monthly calendar; follow trends.
• Film and edit short videos (Reels, TikToks, behind-the-scenes).
• Take and edit photos for social posts and stories.
• Write captions, schedule posts, and manage day-to-day social accounts.
• Respond to comments and direct customer enquiries to venues.
• Collaborate with venues to promote menus, events and launches.
• Identify opportunities to work with local creators/influencers.
• Track performance and provide monthly reports with recommendations.
• Organise content files and maintain a media library.

Salary Between National Minimum / Living Wage and London Living Wage

• Create engaging Instagram and TikTok content across our cafés, restaurants and food and drink venues, adapting the style and tone to each business.
• Visit our venues regularly to film and photograph food, drinks, interiors and the people behind the businesses.
• Develop content ideas, follow relevant trends and build a monthly content calendar.
• Film and edit short videos, including Reels, TikToks, behind-the-scenes clips and team features.
• Take and edit photographs for social media posts and stories.
• Write captions, schedule posts and manage the day-to-day running of our social media accounts.
• Respond to comments and messages, referring customer enquiries to the relevant venue team where needed.
• Work with venue teams to promote specials, seasonal menus, events and new launches.
• Identify opportunities to collaborate with local creators and influencers.
• Track content performance and provide a short monthly report with recommendations to improve reach, engagement and visits.
• Organise content files and maintain a library of photographs and videos for each venue.

Skills and Experience Required

• Eager to learn and willing to work as part of a team.
• Confident creating content for Instagram and TikTok, with examples from personal accounts, university projects or previous work.
• A good eye for photography, composition and visual storytelling, particularly food, drinks and people.
• Comfortable filming on a smartphone and editing with tools such as CapCut, Canva or Adobe software.
• An understanding of social media trends and how to adapt them to different brands.
• Strong written English and the ability to write engaging captions.
• Organised and reliable, with the ability to plan content and manage several accounts.
• Friendly and comfortable working with venue teams and filming people.
• Able to travel to our London venues regularly.
• An interest in food, hospitality and helping independent businesses grow.
