20–25 hours per week | Ideally across 4 days £40,000 FTE | 100% office based
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant to take responsibility for the day-to-day finances of a small but professional group of SME businesses. The employer is also open to considering temporary or temp-to-permanent arrangements for this role. This is very much a hands-on finance role. The majority of your time will be spent looking after the transactional side of the accounts, including sales ledger, purchase ledger, banking and cash management. However, you'll also need the experience to take those accounts through month end and put together management accounts. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety and ownership that comes with working in an SME environment and wants to remain close to the day-to-day numbers rather than move into a more technical or commercially focused accounting role.
The working pattern: The role is part-time, around 20–25 hours per week , ideally spread across four days , which could work particularly well for someone wanting to work school-friendly hours or simply looking for a better balance. The position is 100% office based in Solihull.
Salary: £40,000 FTE, pro rata depending on agreed hours.
You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
