Job summary

Age UK Hartlepool is seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead day-to-day retail operations at Hartlepool (Teesbay Retail Park). You will deliver prompt customer service, help maximise shop sales, oversee stock rotation, displays and tidiness, and deputise for the Shop Manager.

This part-time role covers 18 hours per week across a 7-day rota, including weekends. The successful candidate will work as part of a friendly charity team, uphold Age UK values, and participate in ongoing training and interviews

Qualifications

• Experience in working in a customer-facing role.
• Experience of cash handling.
• Ability to work as part of an effective team.
• Be able to lone work when needed.
• Ability to fulfil the stock-handling requirements up to 10kg.
• Commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent retail service and ensure a great shopping experience for customers.
• Maximise shop sales and profits and contribute to the daily running of the shop.
• Deputise for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager when they are absent.
• Assist with sales, stock rotation, organising displays and shop tidiness.
• Represent Age UK professionally and reflect core values.
• Work across a 7-day rota, including weekends, to cover 18 hours per week.
