Job summary

Holme Hall Primary School in Chesterfield is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support learning for children with SEND. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who can work with individual pupils and as part of a team.

You will prepare learning materials, adapt support to needs, and contribute to safeguarding and promoting inclusive practice. The role is 15 hours per week; visits to the school are warmly welcomed.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school environment essential
• Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) essential
• Experience planning and delivering learning activities essential

Responsibilities

• Work with individual children with SEND and EHCPs
• Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching support according to children's needs
• Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare including first aid duties
• Be committed to promoting and upholding the school values and ethos
• Promote and support inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs
