Job summary

Holme Hall Primary School is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support learning for children with SEND and EHCPs. You will work as part of a friendly team, prepares materials, and adapts support to individual needs while upholding safeguarding and school values.

Visits to the school are welcomed; the role is 15 hours per week. Experience in schools and with SEN is essential, with strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills and a proactive, caring approach.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a school environment or educational setting is essential.
  • Experience with children with special educational needs (SEN) is essential.
  • Experience planning and delivering learning activities.
  • Experience leading playground activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work with individual children with SEND and EHCPs.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching support according to children’s needs.
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare including first aid duties.
  • Be creative and innovative.
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
  • Promote and support inclusion of all pupils.
  • Be motivated to achieve the best for children in our care.
  • Use initiative to assess and evaluate pupils' needs.
