Job summary

Banks Lane Infant and Nursery School invites applications for a SENCo (2.5 days, 16.25 hours) on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will join an experienced team, drive SEND progress, and support staff development.

Start date is 4th January 2027, with a generous development focus and flexibility on working days. We seek an experienced, proactive SENCo who can coach colleagues, collaborate with governors, and uphold our inclusive ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting progress for pupils with SEND.
• Ability to coach, mentor and support school staff.
• Willing to undertake National SENCo Qualification if newly appointed.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team and independently.
• Coach, mentor and support school staff within the SENCo remit.
• Contribute to all aspects of the school and drive whole-school development.
• Support progress for pupils with SEND and ensure high expectations.
