Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a part-time Technician to support Calderhead High School's Design and Technology Department. You will care for hand tools, prepare wood and metal for classes, and manage equipment documentation.

You will maintain machinery and provide technical support across departments as requested by the Senior Technician. You must hold an SVQ3 and an HNC (or equivalent) with extensive experience in relevant environments with machinery and hand tools.

Qualifications

• Hold SVQ3 and HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject with extensive machinery and hand tool experience.
• Must obtain PVG membership before starting; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Care and maintenance of hand tools and prepare wood and metal for classes.
• Receive, check, store and document equipment and materials; make teaching aids.
• Maintain machinery including cyclical maintenance; provide technical support to staff and other departments.
