Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a trusted Design Technology Technician to join a secondary school in Halton on a full-time, ongoing basis. You will support practical lessons, prepare materials and equipment, and maintain workshops to a high standard, working alongside teaching staff.

This role suits someone with practical experience in a school or workshop environment, organized and proactive, with a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Practical experience and technical knowledge relevant to Design Technology.
• Proactive approach to the role in a school setting.
• Experience in a secondary school, college, workshop or similar environment preferred.
• Organised, reliable and able to support staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Preparing materials, equipment and resources for Design Technology lessons.
• Supporting teachers with preparation of practical activities.
• Ensuring workshops, classrooms and practical areas are organised and ready for use.
• Maintaining and checking tools, machinery and equipment.
• Assisting with safe storage and organisation of materials.
• Helping ensure equipment is used safely and appropriately.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and reporting issues with equipment.
• Supporting students during practical activities where appropriate.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Assisting teaching staff with demonstrations and projects.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
