Job summary

24x7 Group in Kendal is seeking a part-time Driver to provide safe home-to-school transport for children and adults with special needs or vulnerabilities.

You will work on school routes, complete routine safety checks, and build professional relationships with passengers, parents and staff while following all safety rules.

No prior experience needed; full training provided, term-time hours with holidays off, vehicle provided, pension.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence (car category).
• Ability to pass Enhanced DBS Check.
• Completion of a Group 2 medical assessment to meet licensing standards.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring passengers travel safely to and from schools or other locations.
• Building professional, friendly relationships with passengers, parents, carers, and school staff.
• Following safety procedures and company guidelines at all times.
• Available for both morning and afternoon shifts on school days.

Hours: Range from12.5to 20 per week (route dependent)

What You Need

• Avalid UK driving licence(car category)
• Confidence in driving a variety of vehicles, including people carriers and wheelchair-accessible vehicles (training provided)
• Ability to pass anEnhanced DBS Check(criminal record check)
• Completion of aGroup 2 medical assessmentto meet licensing standards
• Right to work in the UK

This role involves driving children or conveying adults who need to be transported due to age, illness, or disability. The position therefore meets the definition of regulated activity under both child and adult workforce legislative wording and is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check with relevant barred list checks.
