Job summary

St. Andrew's School in Rochester is seeking a Domestic Supervisor to lead our Domestic Assistants, ensuring clean, safe and welcoming spaces across the Main School and Pre-School.

The role is part-time (30 hours per week, term-time only), with additional duties during August deep clean and Holiday Club periods. Reporting to the School Business Manager, you will organise rotas, monitor standards and manage stock and COSHH compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising a team of cleaners in a school or similar setting.
• Able to manage rotas, workloads and monitoring standards.
• Knowledge of COSHH and health and safety compliance.
• Flexible schedule to support term-time and end-of-August deep clean.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Domestic Assistants and organise daily workloads.
• Monitor cleaning standards across Main School and Pre-School.
• Manage rotas for events, Holiday Club and deep cleans.
• Monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers.
• Ensure COSHH registers, risk assessments and monthly checks.
• Ensure safe use of equipment and training compliance.
