Job summary

St. Andrew's School in Rochester is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our friendly cleaning team on a part-time basis. The post is term-time only, 10 hours per week (5–7pm, Monday to Friday), with a deep clean period at the end of August and potential additional support during Holiday Club periods.

The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, and able to work well in a small team, upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience is welcome, but not essential - the right attitude and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
• This role requires punctuality, reliability and good communication within a small team.
• Working hours are 5–7pm, Monday to Friday during term-time with additional August deep clean.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties on a rota basis to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Support the deep clean in late August as part of annual requirements.
• Contribute to a supportive, welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
