Job summary

Hull City Council is hiring a Cleaning Assistant (Grade 2) on a pro rata basis for Ganton School. This part-time, permanent role covers 10 hours per week with a pattern of 3.30pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is quoted as £6,922 pro rata.

You will provide cleaning services to a designated area, follow safe systems of work, and help maintain a clean, safe environment. The post requires commitment to health and safety and completing routine paperwork such as timesheets.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning to required standards.
• Willingness to follow safety instructions.
• Ability to complete timesheets and other simple paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning duties in accordance with safe systems of work within a designated area.
• Comply with Hull City Council security policies relating to buildings in the area.
• Adhere to procedures and schedules; report problems to supervisor.
• Participate in training and staff development.
• Complete relevant paperwork such as timesheets and annual leave forms.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and corporate safety requirements.
