Job summary

Bungay Primary School is seeking a Hygiene Assistant for 2.5 hours per day, 2 days a week, 44 weeks per year, with hours 3.30pm to 6.00pm during term time. Additional days may be needed to cover staff absences.

Responsibilities include cleaning designated areas, using cleaning materials, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, waste disposal, dusting and cleaning toilets and wash basins to maintain high standards of cleanliness under the site manager’s direction.

Responsibilities

To be responsible for cleaning certain parts of the school site as allocated by the site manager.
To use cleaning materials as instructed by the site manager.
To vacuum all carpeted areas and to wash or mop wet/tiled areas of the classrooms and toilets in designated areas.
To sweep all the uncarpeted floors thoroughly.
To empty and clean bins and remove waste to designated areas.
To complete spot cleaning of spillages.
To dust and wash desks, seats, ledges, skirting boards and other dust-prone areas.
To clean toilets and replenish toiletries; cleanse hand basins and sinks.
To wash off dirty marks on walls, tiling and mirrors.
