Job summary

Compass Group PLC, operating Chartwells, is hiring a Catering Supervisor to oversee catering and service operations on a part-time basis (25 hours per week). The role focuses on preparing high-quality food, supervising teams, and delivering exceptional customer service within Compass Group UK&I’s education sector.

The successful candidate will monitor KPIs, maintain brand standards, and ensure health and safety compliance across all catering and service teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service.
• Communicate regularly with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Liaise between customers and culinary/service teams to exceed expectations.
• Support and train teams, leading from the front to enable excellence.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across catering and service teams.
