Job summary

The Education Authority is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to join the catering unit at Sacred Heart Primary School, Derry/Londonderry. You will assist with the daily preparation, serving and maintenance of high standards in a busy school environment.

Working 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, you will help promote meals to pupils and parents while ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations. Training and development opportunities are available within the unit.

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.

• Transferring and serving meals and snacks.
• Promoting meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintaining hygiene in kitchen and dining areas.
• Recording temperatures for control purposes.
• Completing general kitchen and dining room duties and administration.
