Job summary

Holy Family Catholic Primary School in Addlestone is seeking a part-time Caretaker for 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri 7am-11am, some variations). The role supports premises management to keep the site safe, clean and secure for pupils and staff. Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical work is desirable.

The post involves security duties, DIY maintenance, liaising with contractors, and assisting with Health and Safety procedures. Interviews are TBC and closing date is 18 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience with premises maintenance and general building upkeep.
• Willingness to handle a range of tasks within a busy school environment.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures desirable.

Responsibilities

• Security of the school site and key holder duties.
• DIY repairs and routine maintenance of premises.
• Liaising with and monitoring quality of work of contractors.
• In conjunction with the Office Manager, responsibility for Health and Safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, warm and secure environment at the school.
