Smile Education are recruiting a reliable and proactive Part-Time Caretaker Assistant to join a welcoming school team. This hands-on role suits someone with caretaking, site maintenance, cleaning or facilities management experience seeking part-time, weekday hours.

The successful candidate will work with the Caretaker Manager to keep premises clean, safe, secure and well maintained. Duties include grounds maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning toilets and large areas, and using a two-way radio.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in caretaking, site maintenance, facilities management, cleaning or similar hands-on role.
• Experience within a school or educational environment is advantageous.
• Good general maintenance skills and confidence undertaking basic DIY tasks.
• Understanding of health and safety when handling cleaning products.
• Be reliable, punctual and well organised.
• Have a full, valid driving licence and be able to travel to the school.

Aufgaben

• Carry out general grounds maintenance and keep outdoor areas tidy.
• Perform minor repairs and basic DIY around the school.
• Clean toilets, washrooms and large communal areas to a high standard.
• Safely clean bodily fluids following health and safety procedures.
• Sweep floors and maintain corridors and halls.
• Support with operation of the alarm system and use of two-way radios.
• Lock and secure school buildings when required.
• Identify and report maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
