Smile Education is seeking a Part-Time Caretaker Assistant to join a welcoming school team. The role focuses on caretaking, cleaning, and site maintenance with weekday hours. You will support the Caretaker Manager, handle basic DIY tasks, and ensure a clean, safe school environment.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 2:30pm–6:30pm (20 hours/week). Experience in school environments and a practical, reliable approach are highly valued, along with good teamwork and communication skills.

Qualificações

• Experience in caretaking, site maintenance or similar hands-on role.
• Comfort with cleaning duties including toilets and communal areas.
• Ability to operate building security systems and two-way radios.
• Reliable, practical and able to work with a team and follow instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out general grounds maintenance and keep outdoor areas tidy.
• Perform minor repairs and basic DIY tasks around the school.
• Clean toilets, washrooms and designated facilities to a high standard.
• Follow health and safety procedures for cleaning and maintenance.
• Assist with alarm system operation and locking/unlocking school buildings as required.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues using a two-way radio.
• Support Caretaker Manager with daily premises maintenance.
