Job summary

The Education Authority in Dundonald is seeking a Mobile Catering Assistant for 16.25 hours per week, with Monday–Friday shifts and varied start times, finishing early in the afternoon. The role focuses on hygienic, efficient school catering and customer service for pupils and staff.

You will assist with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining dining areas, and coordinating with the central kitchen while adhering to health and safety regulations and equality duties.

• Access to a suitable vehicle or alternative transport to carry out mobility requirements

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages, including vegetables and snacks
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food
• Organising and controlling food service points
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks
• Assisting with promotion of meals to pupils, parents and staff
• Maintaining dining areas and cleaning duties; washing up and equipment care
• Recording temperatures for quality control
• Carrying out duties in line with legislation and school policies
