Job summary

NCIC is seeking a highly motivated Sonographer to join a multidisciplinary team at Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle. The role involves obstetrics, gynaecology and general abdominal ultrasound with opportunities for vascular/MSK experience.

The post is 15 hours per week on a 36-month secondment, with weekend rotas on a shared basis and travel across sites within NCIC. Applicants must be HCPC registered with ultrasound qualifications.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered or equivalent with PgC/PgD in Medical Ultrasound.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound essential.
• Direct entry Ultrasound PGDip welcomed for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Cover Obstetrics, Gynaecology and General Abdominal scanning including small parts.
• Acceptance of teaching responsibilities and supervision of student sonographers.
• Work across Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle and satellite sites; weekend rota.
