Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a self-motivated Sonographer to join a progressive ultrasound team. You will perform gynaecological and abdominal scans, provide independent reports, and contribute to a high-quality service across multiple sites, including community locations.

The role involves flexible weekend and evening shifts and requires HCPC registration and a postgraduate qualification. Applicants should be able to travel between sites with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Post graduate qualification in general medical and gynaecology is essential.
• Registration with HCPC or governing body is essential.
• Independent reporting and autonomous working are required.
• Evidence of CPD portfolio and ability to prioritise under pressure are expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ultrasound services across multiple sites with rotation.
• Provide independent reports for gynaecology and abdominal exams.
• Support training and participate in trainee sonographer programmes.
• Contribute to a seven day service with flexible weekend/evening work.
