Job summary

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a self-motivated Sonographer to join the Ultrasound team. The role involves performing gynaecological and abdominal ultrasound examinations with independent reporting, rotating between the main site at Royal Cornwall Hospital and community sites.

A 7-day service model is expected, with some weekends and evenings possible. Candidates should have DMU/PgCert/PgDip or equivalent; CASE-accredited qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold DMU, PgCert, PgDip or equivalent.
• CASE-accredited qualifications are preferred; appplications from other professional backgrounds will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Undertake gynaecological and abdominal ultrasound examinations with independent reporting.
• Provide a high-quality ultrasound service across multiple sites (main site and community sites).
• Rotate between sites and travel as required between locations.
• Deliver patient-centred care with attention to safety and accuracy; work to a 7-day service model.
