Job summary

Richmond Villages Cheltenham is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. This permanent part-time role is 16 hours per week, with shifts between 08:00 and 20:00, including weekends. Applicants must be 18+ due to alcohol service, and the role includes supervising staff, rota planning, and a mix of administration and frontline guest service.

£13.60 per hour with paid breaks. The post supports our residents with dignified service and high standards in a luxury retirement setting.

Qualifications

• Background in customer service; catering or kitchen experience helpful but training provided.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a tight-knit environment.
• Commitment to high service standards and resident well-being.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day management of the hospitality team and supervise staff.
• Take accountability for creating and managing staff rotas to ensure staffing levels.
• Complete administration duties (≈50% of the role) and assist reporting.
• Monitor attendance, holidays, and shift cover arrangements.
• Set up for business and serve at mealtimes; help with bar service where required.
• Keep restaurant, cafe and kitchen tidy; assist with room-service and trays.
