Job summary

Bassetlaw District Council is seeking a part-time Quality Control Inspector to join the Housing Repairs & Maintenance team. You will survey and assess repair issues in customers’ homes, manage cases from inspection to completion, and help ensure work meets safety and timescale requirements.

The successful candidate will have experience in reactive maintenance, knowledge of housing regulations, and a commitment to customer care, integrity and continuous service improvement, working 18.5 hours per

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of housing and property regulations and legislation.
  • The ability to act with integrity, accountability and sound judgement.

  • Excellent customer care skills, with a clear commitment to putting customers at the centre of your work.

Responsibilities

  • Survey and assess repair issues in customers’ homes.
  • Oversee repair cases from inspection to completion.
  • Prepare work schedules and specifications; raise orders.
  • Monitor progress and ensure safety, housing standards and timescales.
  • Support management of current repairs and plan for upcoming repairs under Awaab’s law timescales.
