Part-time Property Lawyer

Remote working

East Midlands

£45-60 per hour DOE

Sellick Partnership are delighted to be supporting a local authority in the East Midlands with the recruitment of a part time Property Lawyer into their Legal team. The role is offered on entirely remote working basis and will be for a period of 3 months, but with a likelihood of extension!

For the Property Lawyer role we are looking for someone with the following experience:

  • Mixed experience of commercial and residential (including new build) property law - both transactional and queries
  • Leasehold experience including issues with current leases, sub-leases, occupiers (extension, termination, grant of new)
  • Set up eventual suite of documentation following completion of development - agreements for lease etc
  • Experience of grant of licences
  • Non-leasehold development work i.e. overage agreements (new and existing) and disposals
  • Understanding of local government property law considerations e.g. appropriation of land from one function to another, when secretary of state approval is required etc.
