Job summary

Spire Clare Park Hospital in Farnham is seeking an experienced Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, registering patients and directing them to the right departments with warmth and professionalism.

You will work in a private hospital environment, handling inpatient/outpatient charges, NHS forms, and a busy switchboard, while maintaining high data accuracy and great customer service. This part-time role offers competitive benefits and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service environment.
• Excellent communication at all levels.
• Strong data entry and accuracy in administration.
• Good basic PC skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Register and welcome patients and collect necessary details.
• Direct patients and staff to the correct locations and provide clear directions.
• Handle NHS forms and processes.
• Process inpatient/outpatient charges and cash handling per policy.
• Discharge patients onto the computer system with accurate information.
• Manage hospital switchboard efficiently and respond to enquiries promptly.
• Perform clerical duties: bed status checks, distributing newspapers, visitors badges, booking taxis.
