Job summary

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is seeking a Part-time Cover Supervisor to join a small junior school. The role involves providing classroom cover for teacher absences and functioning as a Teaching Assistant level 2 at other times. You will manage the class, support learning, and report to teachers with proactive, inclusive approaches for all pupils. The position runs for one year on a fixed-term basis, term-time only.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting.
• TA3 level experience and HLTA/NVQ qualifications preferred.
• Ability to support pupils with SEND/SEMH and adapt tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a whole class, set activities and collect/work marking as appropriate.
• Support teachers and use existing planning to guide activities.
• Lead and guide other adults supporting teaching and learning in the classroom.
