Job summary

Emmanuel Middle School is seeking a dedicated cover supervisor to supervise and support pupils during short-term or unforeseen teacher absences across the school. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, team‑minded and committed to high expectations in teaching, learning and behaviour, while supporting the school’s Christian ethos.

The role is part-time, term-time only, 30 hours per week over 39 weeks per year, with a permanent appointment and a pro‑rated salary in the region of £18,724

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent; pursuing teacher training within 2–3 years.
• Committed to promoting high expectations in teaching, learning and behaviour.
• Willing to support the Christian ethos of the school.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support pupils in learning activities during short-term or unforeseen absence of their usual teacher.
• Engage and support pupils to maintain a constructive learning environment in line with school policies.
• Take charge of a sole group or class and manage behaviour effectively.
