Yorkshire Accountancy in Cottingham is seeking a part-time Practice Accountant to produce year-end accounts and Self Assessment tax returns. You will work in our Cottingham office, supporting clients with MTD and tax compliance, while maintaining accurate working papers and timely deliverables.

The role focuses on accounts production and tax work, with flexible patterns around school hours. Prior UK practice experience and a practical, detail-oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior UK practice experience is essential.
• Comfortable taking a job from bookkeeping to draft accounts.
• Experience preparing Self Assessment tax returns and knowledge of personal tax.

Responsibilities

• Prepare draft year-end accounts for limited companies and sole traders.
• Prepare and review Self Assessment tax returns.
• Prepare supporting working papers and tax computations.
• Assist with MTD for Income Tax obligations where applicable.
• Keep deadlines and workflows up to date.
