Job summary

Edwards & Pearce in East Yorkshire is seeking a qualified or part-qualified accountant to join a busy practice on a full-time or part-time basis within an established team. You will prepare and review client accounts and meet clients regularly to discuss needs.

The role suits ACA/ACCA or part-qualified with study support; hybrid options and flexible start times are available to suit family commitments.

Qualifications

• Systems literate with strong Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Part-qualifications with study support or fully qualified ACCA/ACA.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of clients' accounts
• Review of accounts prepared by junior staff
• Meeting clients on a regular basis to discuss their needs
• Advising and preparing final accounts
• Preparation of corporation tax returns and self-assessment returns
• Preparation and review of VAT returns
• Liaison with HMRC and other external bodies
