Job summary

Equals One Ltd invites an experienced Practice Accountant / Accounts Senior to join its well-established Worksop practice, office-based. You will manage a portfolio of clients, deliver high-quality accounting and tax services, and liaise with HMRC as needed.

The role offers either full-time or part-time hours (20–25 hours for part-time) with a salary up to £45k per year, pro rata for part-time, and study support to progress ACCA/AAT qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' recent experience in an accountancy practice, ideally 5+ years.
• ACCA qualified or currently studying towards ACCA, or AAT Level 4 qualified/studying.
• Candidates with AAT Level 3 may be considered if they have substantial practice experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK personal and corporate tax.
• Experience managing own client portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own portfolio of clients, providing accounting and tax support from start to finish.
• Preparing statutory and management accounts for a range of businesses.
• Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax computations and returns.
• Providing clear, practical advice on accounting and tax matters.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Liaising with HMRC and other relevant organisations.
• Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the practice.
