Puro Associates, a well-established independent accountancy practice in Stockton-on-Tees, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Payroll Administrator to join the team. You will manage payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, with Sage Payroll experience preferred but not essential.

The role focuses on part-time hours with a supportive environment and opportunities for long-term development within the practice.

Qualifications

• Experience managing payroll from start to finish within an accountancy practice.
• Experience handling payroll for multiple clients is highly advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and RTI.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly and weekly payrolls for a portfolio of clients.
• Calculate wages, overtime, holiday pay and other adjustments.
• Manage starters, leavers and employee detail changes.
• Handle PAYE, NI and statutory deductions.
• Process statutory payments including SSP and SMP.
• Prepare RTI returns and submit to HMRC.
• Produce payroll reports and payslips.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and respond to queries.
• Ensure payroll deadlines are met and keep up to date with legislation.
