In this role, you will take responsibility for the accurate and timely administration of payroll, covering both salaried and hourly-paid employees within a fast-paced finance setting. Responsibilities will include processing payroll and timesheets, verifying payroll information, keeping employee records up to date, responding to payroll-related queries, carrying out payroll reconciliations, and assisting with pension journals and financial account reconciliations. You will need to be comfortable working autonomously, have a high level of accuracy, and possess the ability to investigate and correct discrepancies while helping to enhance existing finance procedures.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience in a payroll-focused role, with the ability to process both hourly and salaried payroll accurately in a busy finance environment
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with experience handling, reviewing and analysing payroll figures, timesheets and other financial data
A meticulous approach to your work, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to complete payroll and account reconciliations accurately
Excellent communication and time-management skills, with the ability to organise workloads, prioritise effectively and consistently meet deadlines
