Job summary

The Perfume Shop is hiring a part‑time Payroll Assistant to join the People Team on a 6 month FTC in High Wycombe. You will help ensure accurate salary processing for an allocated employee group, liaise with managers, and support timely payroll reporting.

If you are organised, able to juggle priorities and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, this role is for you. The position offers hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days off‑site.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a payroll team or payroll basics.
• Familiarity with payroll software like Oracle is a plus.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and current legislation.
• Understanding payroll terminology and how it applies to pay.

Responsibilities

• Check and validate weekly timesheets with line managers for authorisation.
• Process manual timesheets and set up staff on Oracle HCM.
• Download, reconcile and validate timesheet and absence data in Excel.
• Support payroll queries with clear, sensitive communication.
• Process starter documents and input non‑recurring payments into Oracle HCM.
• Maintain payroll records, including pro‑rata payments for starters/leavers for audits.
