Job summary

SMART Education Recruitment is seeking a detail‑driven Part-Time Payroll Administrator in the West Midlands. You will ensure weekly payroll for temporary workers is accurate and on time, collaborating with recruitment consultants, candidates and schools.

Hybrid work enables Mondays from home with in-office attendance on other days. The role offers pro rata salary of GBP15,900 per year (based on a full-time equivalent of GBP26,500) with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality and timely processing.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll, finance, or administration.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong numerical and IT skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll information accurately and on time.
• Check and process candidate timesheets.
• Chase outstanding and unauthorised timesheets.
• Liaise with schools, candidates, and consultants regarding queries.
• Handle confidential payroll information securely.
• Update information on internal CRM and systems.
• Support the wider administration and recruitment team.
