Job summary

Park Medical Practice is seeking a Care Navigator/Receptionist (fixed term) to join the Patient Services team. The role involves front-desk reception, triage support, and signposting patients to the appropriate clinician or service, with duties spanning telephone and face-to-face care.

The post requires excellent communication, strong IT skills, and confidentiality, working part-time between 7.45–6.30pm. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good IT skills and ability to handle patient data confidentially.
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Direct patients to appropriate services and signpost to clinicians.
• Handle calls and appointments; respond to general enquiries.
• Register new patients and visitors; maintain reception area.
• Input and extract information from the computer system; manage payments for non-NHS services.
