Job summary

24x7 Group in Guildford seeks a Passenger Assistant to help transport SEN and vulnerable passengers to and from school or day care. You will work term-time hours, with routes varying, and join a friendly team.

Role involves supporting drivers with a range of vehicles and maintaining patient, empathic interaction with passengers and carers. DBS checks apply and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Pass an enhanced criminal record check.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• First Aid Training and willingness to undergo advanced specialist medical training.

Responsibilities

• Transport SEN or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres.
• Work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company.
• Establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, carers/parents, and establishments.
• Assist the driver in company supplied vehicles, including cars, 8 seat carriers and wheelchair accessible vehicles.
• Be patient and empathetic, keeping passengers occupied and comfortable on journeys.

Passenger Assistant Role And Responsibilities

Salary: £560 - £860 per month (route dependent)

Hours: 12.5 to 20 per week (varies by route)

Your Role

• Transport special needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres
• To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company.
• To quickly establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers/parents, and the key people at the establishments they attend.
• To assist the driver in company supplied vehicles, which includes - cars, 8 seat people carriers and large wheelchair accessible vehicles.
• To be patient and empathic with the passengers and be able to keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys.

What You Need

• Pass an enhanced criminal record check as you will be working with children, young persons and/or vulnerable adults.
